Blender
All profits to support the Japan Society's Earthquake Relief Fund

In the light of the scale of damage from the Tohoku Pacific earthquake in Japan, Hidemi Takagi together with Flaere Gallery have decided to raise funds for the artist's country.
The new project of Hidemi Takagi, Blender will be offered on a limited basis at a special rate with all profits to the Japan Society Tohoku Earthquake Relief Fund. The Fund will channel 100% of all donations received to the ongoing work of voluntary and community organisations (NPOs) working in the most affected prefectures.
The Blender project, scheduled to be exhibited in Times Square 2011, is a lens into New York's immigrant communities and cultures. Hidemi shows that art can transcend time and language even through the simplest imagery found on a candy wrapper. The project unwraps both what differentiates these cultures and what brings them together.

Photographs from the Blender series are printed in a limited edition of 75 at 5 x7". They will be dispatched with a 10 x 8" window mount and backing board. Photographs in the series can be viewed on Hidemi's artist page and can be purchased through our contact form.
